Mission Twisha – charity helps the patient born UNABLE TO EAT.
Twisha is little unfortunate, 2 years old girl and only child to her single Mother, Sweety Makwana. Twisha is born with very rare birth defect –LGOA means she is born with an incomplete Esophagus (a tube connecting mouth and stomach), hence unable to eat/feed by mouth since birth. Twisha has undergone around 20 Major & Minor surgical procedures in Australia, which couldn’t cure her.
Twisha is fed via a special medical device, called Gastrostomy button on her belly, from where milk (Peadiasure ONLY) is being injected directly into her stomach every day. To manage her secretions, she has an Esophagostoma (an artificial opening of her upper esophagus on right side of chest), that is being collected into a stomal bag applied onto the Esophagostoma.
The Only medical treatment that can give Twisha a chance for normal life is available in Boston, USA. Unfortunately in USA her treatment will occur in substantial amount of money, nearly $1M! Her single mother is not able to cope with the cost on her own. We, Mission Twisha team, support Twisha’s cause and raising funds to send Twisha to the Children’s Hospital Boston in MA, USA.
